INTRODUCTION
Aufhauser SilverAlloy A-30 is a good general purpose brazing alloy.
APPLICATIONS
SilverAlloy A-30 does not contain cadmium and is often used as an alternate to cadmium-containing alloys when the brazed assembly comes in contact with food or dairy products. Its slightly higher melt temperature provides improved mechanical strengths when exposed to elevated temperatures. Typical applications are the joining of ferrous, nonferrous, and dissimilar metals and alloys with close joint clearances. SilverAlloy A-30 is used extensively in joining of copper, brass, nickel, silver, and ferrous alloys. Good for refrigeration assemblies where higher temperatures can be employed.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Generally, the joint strength using SilverAlloy A-30 will surpass the strengths of the base metals. Strength is a function of the base metals being joined, type of joint, design of joint, joint clearances and brazing procedures. Where improved corrosion resistance is needed SilverAlloy A-50Ni2 and SilverAlloy A-40Ni2 are recommended over silver base filler metals not containing nickel.
