Hydraulic fitting brazing
Hydraulic components can be brazed in air using a silver brazing filler metal and flux or in a controlled atmosphere furnace using a copper based brazing filler metal. Choice of filler metal in each case will depend on the normal brazing parameters such as joint gap for example.

Brazing of electric motors for transport
Trains and trams on mass transit railway systems worldwide rely on electric motors. Frequently the electric motors involved are manufactured from copper chrome zirconium end rings and rotor bars. In these cases there is a need to keep the brazing temperature as low as possible in order to avoid softening of the copper alloy. Consequently a high silver, low melting temperature silver brazing filler metal is used. The cadmium-free products are favored for environmental, health and safety reasons.
