Brazing Fluxes play a vital role in virtually all air brazing processes. Use of the wrong flux or a poor application technique can have a dramatic effect on joint quality.

Soldering Fluxes are classified as corrosive, intermediate or non-corrosive. The choice depends on the metals being joined, the melting range of the solder and whether the residues are to be removed after soldering.

There are also special fluxes for the brazing of tungsten carbide, stainless steel, aluminum bronze, and refractory metals; induction brazing; manufacturing flux coated rods; and reducing red staining on brass.

Silver Brazing / Soldering Flux

White SilverFlux All purpose, low temperature, organic fluoride type flux for use in silver brazing most ferrous and non-ferrous metals, stainless tools and carbides. Molten at 1000°F and active to a maximum of 1800°F. It exhibits a long active lift at brazing temperatures combined with excellent fluidity and promotes outstanding adherence. Applications include automotive, jewelry, musical instruments, aerospace, carbide tools, electronics and plumbing. Not recommended for use on aluminum, magnesium and titanium.
Black SilverFlux A boron-modified version of the SilverFlux White. Intended for use where refractory oxides are formed on metals being joined.
SolderFlux
liquid
A heavy-duty, liquid-soft soldering flux that is active between 200°F and 600°F. It promotes excellent solderability on both copper-based and ferrous alloys, including tin/antimony, tin/silver solders and stainless steel. This flux is non-fuming, and the residues are water soluble. Should not be used for electrical or electronic applications, and is not recommended for aluminum, magnesium or titanium.
SolderFlux
paste
An active soldering flux formulated for use with tin/antimony and tin/silver solders. This paste soldering flux is a superior flux for most metals including copper, brass, bronze, steel, stainless steel, galvanized and Monel® alloys. SolderFlux should not be used for electrical or electronic applications, and is not recommended for aluminum, magnesium or titanium.
Flux505 A liquid flux for soldering with all soft solders. Use Aufhauser 505 (neutral) flux with any commercial tin-lead, tin-silver, tin-antimony soft solders. It is a general purpose, neutral, "noncorrosive" soldering flux for use on electrical devices, electronic parts, concealed joints, and for items where corrosion cannot be tolerated. It is active between 300°F and 500°F.

General Brazing Flux

AlumBraze A powder flux recommended for Aluminum 4047 (formerly 718) brazing alloy and other aluminum brazing alloys. It has a brazing temperature range of 1030°F through 1400°F. The flux promotes strong braze joints in aluminum alloys without melting the parent metals. It wets the joining surfaces thoroughly and prevents trapping of aluminum oxide inclusions in the joints. Applications include HVAC, industrial equipment and maintenance.
BronzeFlux For brazing brass, bronze, copper, steel, nickel silver, and malleable iron. BronzeFlux causes the bronze to penetrate deeper into the joint, making a stronger union than is possible with other fluxes. It is the most efficient and economical brazing flux on the market.
Flux10 A powder flux for brazing and welding aluminum. A premium formula flux. Active in a range between 1080°F and 1140°F. The powder turns to a clear liquid when the proper brazing temperature has been attained. Can also be used as a paste.
Flux11 A powder flux for brazing cast or malleable iron with bronze rod. Flux11 is active between 1500°F and 2000°F. Joints are bright, clean, strong and free from porosity, owing to the scavenging action of the flux. Applications include industrial equipment, marine engines, and maintenance.
Flux17 A high temperature flux, Flux17 works very well with ferrous metals, stainless steels, carbides and specialty alloys containing refractory oxides. Applications include carbide tools, industrial equipment, mining tools, fire extinguishers, jobs involving large parts and long heating cycles.
Flux600 A white granular powder flux. Works well on ferrous, non-ferrous alloys and stainless steels and is most suitable for use with low-fuming bronze (C681) filler metal. Entirely free of fluorides, with a high boric acid content which permits the flux to stick to hot filler metal rods.
UltraFlux UltraFlux is water based active fluoride/borate-type flux in paste form. It is formulated to ensure a creamy consistency and to provide excellent adhesion when dipped or brushed on components.
UltraFlux Black UltraFlux Black is boron-modified version of UltraFlux, providing a broader filler metal flow range and excellent protection of components up to 1800°F.

High Production Brazing Flux

SpeedFlux B2 Boron infused, high speed automation liquid flux for braze-welding steel and other metals with bronze rods, nickel-silver rods and silver solders. Flux is dispersed through the flame. Applications include all-surface brazing applications, building up shafts and spindles, automotive, sculpture, jewelry, HVAC and general maintenance.
SpeedFlux LPG Similar to the B2, but is intended for use with all liquefied petroleum gas systems such as MAPP and others.
