Composition
INTRODUCTION
Aufhauser SilverAlloy A-35 is a good, general purpose alloy often used when cadmium must be avoided, such as in the dairy and food industries.
APPLICATIONS
SilverAlloy A-35 is suitable in the joining of ferrous, nonferrous and dissimilar metals and alloys with close joint clearances. It is a good choice for brazing in the dairy and food industries where the use of cadmium is prohibited. It is mostly used for brazing in the electrical industry and for brazing brass parts such as ship and marine hardware, piping, plumbing fixtures, brass musical instruments, lamps and lighting fixtures, etc. Appropriate for dissimilar metals brazing in refrigeration tubing. Moderate melt temperature for ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Generally, the joint strength when using SilverAlloy A-35 will surpass the strengths of the base metals. Strength is a function of the base metals being joined, type of joint, design of joint, joint clearances and brazing procedures. When improved corrosion resistance is needed, SilverAlloy A-50Ni2 and SilverAlloy A-40Ni2 are recommended over silver base filler metals not containing nickel.
