AM-2 Aluminum Bronze for Flame Spray
Nominal Chemical
Composition
INTRODUCTION
Aufhauser AM-2 is an aluminum bronze alloy wire manufactured exclusively for flame spraying. AM-2 is distinct from other aluminum bronze alloys in that the iron content is higher and more suitable for spraying. Primarily used for overlaying bearings and wear-resistant surfaces. AM-2 is stronger and harder than other bronzes. The wire produces dense coatings with very good wear-resistance. Easy to machine to an excellent finish.
APPLICATIONS
Use AM-2 for all general metallizing work with bronze. Typical applications include:
- bronze castings
- bushings
- press rams
- pump impellers
- ship propellers
- plungers and many others
