SilverAlloy A-45 Flux Coated
Aufhauser SilverAlloy A-45FC is used especially for brazing in the electrical industry, as well as in the dairy and food industries where the use of cadmium bearing filler metals is prohibited. This filler metal is excellent for brazing brass parts. A-45FC is pre-fluxed with the correct amount of flux. No dipping or preparatory work.
SilverAlloy A-45FC is suitable in the joining of ferrous, nonferrous and dissimilar metals and alloys with close joint clearances. It is a good choice for brazing in the dairy and food industries where the use of cadmium is prohibited. It is also often used in the electrical industry and for brazing brass parts such as ship piping, band instruments, lamps, etc.
GENERAL INFORMATIONChemical Composition
Generally, the joint strength using SilverAlloy A-45FC will surpass the strengths of the base metals. Strength is a function of the base metals being joined, type of joint, design of joint, joint clearances and brazing procedures. The recommended maximum operating temperature for SilverAlloy A-45FC is up to 400°F in continuous service and up to 600°F in intermittent service.
